Writers of Outstanding Words, a creative writing and poetry program for children, celebrated the 150th Anniversary of Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation and the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington by composing verse under the theme Believe. Executive Director Sabina Barron and several of the young poets are in studio with Barbara Gray to talk about the project, two upcoming events and recite some of their poems.

As Jim Stump learns from Producing Artistic Director Eric Vosmeier, Lauren Gunderson’s Toil and Trouble sets this tale of greed, power and murder in San Francisco as three over-educated, under-employed 30-somethings test friendships, make alliances and cross lines, all because of messages received in fortune cookies. And yes, it is a comedy.
