Daniel Epstein is a long time P&G leader, about to retire from his position as marketing director for a move to Toronto. During his many business travels, he has stayed for extra days to photograph people and discuss the role of faith in their lives. This project, called Portraits in Faith, is now an extensive, beautifully moving website at portraitsinfaith.org. He joins Ron Esposito to discuss the genesis of this project and what future plans he has for the site and a future documentary.
The arts scene on Woodburn Ave. in Walnut Hills continues to grow, and new boutiques and galleries are opening regularly. The next Walk on Woodburn is scheduled for July 12, and local artist Annie Bollinghas started The Gallery Project to introduce young people to a wide variety of art forms. You've probably heard about Google's street view mapping, maybe you've even seen the cars driving around with giant, funny-looking rooftop cameras. Google is now taking that technology indoors here in Cincinnati.
Cincinnati’s Duke Energy Convention Center is about to receive a brand new public art installation, compliments of ArtWorks and local artist Brenda Tarbell. As Jane Durrell learns from the artist and ArtWorks apprentice Susan Romer, the piece is entitled Buds, Blossoms, Branches, Boughs for the Queen and is an homage to local flora. The piece will be officially dedicated on July 10.
