Visionaries + Voices is one of this area’s unique arts organizations, dedicated to showcasing and developing works from artists with a variety of disabilities. New programs are also allowing the artists to teach their talents to children and adults. The Cincinnati Actor’s Studio is the longest year-round operating acting school in the Queen City. Founders Steve Francia and Bob Elkins are with Robyn Carey-Allgeyer to discuss their background, how the school began and what separates it from other similar programs. Bob also talks about his role as the DJ in the classic Sissy Spacek film, Coal Miner’s Daughter.
A new collaboration among commercial art galleries and the artists they represent formed in October of this year. CADI (Cincinnati Art Dealers Initiative) hopes to educate and generate additional interest and investment in art collecting.
