Starting May 28, it’s the 10^th anniversary of the Cincinnati Fringe Festival. It’s become one of the fastest growing and most popular stops on the fringe circuit, and this year will provide 12 days of unique, creative, and provocative theater, dance, art and more. Producing Artistic Director Eric Vosmeier joins Mark Perzel with a preview of what to look for at this year’s Fringe Festival.

The Know Theatre’s upcoming production is When the Rain Stops Falling by Australian playwright Andrew Bovell. Named “Best New Play of 2010” by Time Out Magazine, Brian Isaac Phillips of the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company will direct this generational/time shifting play. Jim Stump talks with Brian about this unique drama and the all-star cast of Cincinnati actors he has assembled.

The American Theatre Wing recently awarded Cincinnati’s Know Theatre a $10,000 grant to help continue the progressive and inclusive work they are doing both on stage and off. Actress Lucie Arnaz (daughter of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz) came to town to present their check and she, along with Know Theatre’s Eric Vosmeier , visited the WVXU studios for an interview with Jim Stump.
