solid waste en Cincinnati delivering more trash carts this month <p>The City of Cincinnati is beginning the second phase of a program to deliver <a href="" target="_blank">new trash carts to city residents</a>.<br><br>Households that have their trash collected on Tuesdays <a href="" target="_blank">will be getting carts</a> throughout May.<br> Mon, 06 May 2013 14:32:48 +0000 Jay Hanselman 12205 at Cincinnati delivering more trash carts this month Cincinnati ends Recyclebank program <p>Cincinnati has dropped the Recyclebank program designed to encourage residents to recycle. &nbsp;<br><br>City officials say participation rates were disappointing. &nbsp;<br><br>The program is being revamped in order to realize the city's original intent:&nbsp; to encourage and reward people who recycle, which in turns saves taxpayer dollars on tipping fees at the landfill. &nbsp;<br><br>Current rewards can still be redeemed through Recyclebank. &nbsp;<br><br>In 2012, city residents and small business recycled more than 17,000 tons, which compares to just more than 12,000 tons in 2008.
