Hopeful Bengals head to Houston

UPDATE:  Bengals lose to the  Texans 19-13.  Houston is 3-0 against Cincinnati going back to the 2011 regular season.    

The Bengals predict the outcome is going to be different this time as the team heads back to Houston this weekend for a playoff re-match.

Right before the team had it's final practice spirits were up Thursday in the Bengals locker room. Cornerback Leon Hall says it's exciting to go to the playoffs two years in a row.

Local Girls Scouts Featured on Cookie Box

Double Dutch Cookie snack bar box

Girl Scout cookies go on sale in Cincinnati today and you can see two local girl scouts featured on the box of a new snack bar.  The girls from the Comet Skippers, a Mason-based jump rope team were chosen to be featured on the Double Dutch Snack Bar box.  


Quinn Robinson is a fifth grader at Mason Intermediate School and Ally Astles is a seventh grader at Mason Middle School.  They are the featured jumpers on the box.  Sarah Cramer, a ninth grader at William Mason High School is the left jump rope turner on the snack bar wrapper.

Bengals aiming to break playoff drought

Andy Dalton has helped produce back-to-back playoff appearances in his two years as starting quarterback.

As the Bengals head to Houston to face the Texans in a Wild Card playoff game Saturday, they'll be looking for more success than they've had the past few years when they lost both their opening round games. 

Chick Ludwig is the host of the Monday Morning Quarterback Show on Fox Sports 1360.  He likes the Bengals chances of moving ahead this year, even though they're playing the same team that ousted them last year.

Cincinnati gets more federal money for firefighters

The Cincinnati Fire Department is getting another nearly $6 million federal grant to hire 40 additional firefighters.  

The money will fund salaries for 2 years.  

In the last several years the number of Cincinnati firefighters has been shrinking because of retirements and resignations.
