Rumpke realizes your (recycled) trash could be another company's treasure. Armed with a brand new $32 million, 100,000 square foot sorting center in St. Bernard, Rumpke is taking tons of recyclables off the street and marketing the material to paper mills and businesses that buy plastic and other goods.
Cincinnati City Manager Milton Dohoney Jr. will leave his job by Dec. 1, Mayor-elect John Cranley announced Wednesday night.
Cranley told reporters at a Wednesday night press conference he had met with Dohoney and that the decision for Dohoney, who was hired by out-going Mayor Mark Mallory in 2006, to leave was a mutual one.
"We just felt it was better to move in different directions,'' Cranley said at a downtown press conference.
Kentucky's auditor says he'll take a close look at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport Board after media reports raised concerns about travel and spending.
Auditor Adam Edelen says, "We are going to be reviewing every expenditure made by the airport board. We're going to get to the nub of the issue, which is 'Is the questionable spending on things like travel a consistent theme through every expenditure stream at the airport?' I don't have an answer for that but I will."
