Warren County Fairgrounds gets a boost from racino developer

The Lebanon Raceway will be moving from the county fairgrounds to the new racino facility.

The company opening a racino in Turtlecreek Township says it's committing $3 million to revitalizing the Warren County Fairgrounds. 

Miami Valley Gaming is contributing  $1 million  this year that will support redeveloping the current Lebanon Raceway at the fairgrounds.  The raceway is being moved to the new gaming and racing complex that will be built. 

The company is also contributing $500,000 per year for the next four years.

Reds start selling single game tickets tomorrow

Spring training is underway, next comes ticket sales as another sure sign that baseball season isn't far off.

Single game tickets for Reds regular season home games go on sale Saturday morning at 9, excluding Opening day on April 1.

Training for the big night

The saying goes, "Preparation is the key to success."  In part five of our Casino series,  WVXU's Mark Heyne says Horseshoe Cincinnati is taking that to heart as it readies its workers for the casino's opening.  Employees have been training for weeks,  in some cases months, to be ready for the big night and beyond.

Communities mark one year since tornado hit

FEMA workers survey the damage in Moscow, Ohio from a tornado last March.

It's another sign of the recovery and rebuilding that's been going on since a large tornado ripped through communities in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky about a year ago.  The Moscow, Ohio Post Office is officially reopening for business at 8 a.m. Thursday.
