An endangered Brazilian ocelot kitten is the latest birth at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden. 

A release from the zoo says the kitten was born New Year's Eve after an artificial insemination from the zoo's resident male ocelot, "Monsieur."  This birth represents the fifth pregnancy worldwide in ocelots resulting from artificial insemination.   

Both the mother, Sala and the kitten are currently being housed in a quiet off-exhibit location but likely will be transferred to the ocelot exhibit in the Zoo’s Night Hunters building later this spring for public viewing.
