Tana Weingartner earned a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Cincinnati and a master's degree in mass communication from Miami University. Most recently, she served as news and public affairs producer with WMUB-FM. Ms. Weingartner has earned numerous awards for her reporting, including several Best Reporter awards from the Associated Press and the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists. She served on the Ohio Associated Press Broadcasters Board of Directors from 2007 - 2009.

County is moving forward and getting stronger

Hamilton County is "on the move and getting stronger." That was the theme of Commission President Chris Monzel's State of the County address Thursday.

Monzel talked about the importance of keeping taxes low and how the Governor's proposed budget could benefit the ailing county stadium fund.

He says the county is also focused on infrastructure projects, especially the multi-billion dollar federally mandated sewer system upgrade. One money-saving plan involves ‘daylighting’ a stream to capture storm water rather than building a costly tunnel.

Banks eatery in rent dispute

Bar brawl over rent

The folks at Toby Keith's I Love this Bar and Grill have more than hamburgers and beers on their plates. According to court filings, the restaurant hasn't been paying its rent.

An affiliate of The Banks developer is filing suit against the restaurant's owners. Court documents allege Toby Keith's hasn't paid rent since November of last year. The monthly rent is $41,066.67.

The developer is asking for all rents, payments, fines and other related costs.

SuperJobs hosts hiring events

Hamilton County’s SuperJobs Center is partnering with six area companies to fill job openings ranging from clerical professionals to retail sales.

The following will be held at the SuperJobs Center, 1916 Central Parkway.

Feb. 13: In Living Support will interview for an accounting assistant and direct service professionals from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Feb. 14: First Student will interview for bus drivers from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Covington toasts newest job creator

Westpack is a bottle decorating and packaging company based in Russia.

Kentucky is raising a glass to the newest company bringing jobs to the commonwealth. The Russian bottle decorating and packaging company is opening a manufacturing facility in Covington.

Westpack is investing nearly $4.5 million and creating 63 full-time jobs.

Kentucky Lt. Governor Jerry Abramson calls the announcement a "tremendous commitment."
