Memorial wall has unique way of honoring veterans

Just in time for Memorial Day, the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton is dedicating a wall of honor recognizing veterans and others who serve and have served our country.

The Legacy Data Plate Wall of Honor memorializes veterans and others with a military connection. Each memorial plaque is designed to resemble data plates on military aircraft but instead of model and serial numbers, there are loving remembrances.

Reel Stuff Film Festival of America

If you’re an aviation or movie buff, you’ll want to check out the Reel Stuff Film Festival of Aviation at the U.S. Air Force Museum Theater in Fairborn, Ohio. As Larry Thomas learns, the theater recently underwent an $800,000 renovation, upgrading the digital projection and sound system. From April 13-15, they will be showing such re-mastered films as the first Oscar winner, Wings; Top Gun in Imax 3D; Memphis Belle and more.
