Downtown Cincinnati’s Lloyd Library and Museum is currently featuring Wounded Home, an art and book exhibit commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Civil War. Jane Durrell learns about how this exhibit was assembled and what visitors can expect to find in a conversation with the library’s Anna Heran and the exhibit’s guest curator, Kate Kern.
Clifton’s La Poste restaurant owner Jens Rosenkrantz is also an accomplished photographer and he and local painter M. Katherine Hurley curate a variety of installations at the restaurant. They are with Jane Durrell to talk about upcoming shows and the process of curating a show in the La Poste space versus a more traditional gallery.
Photographic artist Elena Dorfman currently has an exhibit of her large-scale images at the Phyllis Weston Galleryon Madison Road. She joins our Judith Turner-Yamamoto to talk about the two years it took to capture all the images from rock quarries around the Midwest that make up her Empire Falling exhibit.
