Photographic artist Elena Dorfman currently has an exhibit of her large-scale images at the Phyllis Weston Galleryon Madison Road. She joins our Judith Turner-Yamamoto to talk about the two years it took to capture all the images from rock quarries around the Midwest that make up her Empire Falling exhibit.
The Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park sits atop 265 acres in Hamilton Ohio. It is beautifully decorated by many distinctive pieces of outdoor art located in and among the rolling hills and ponds. The park hosts many events throughout the year – from live music to yoga to weddings.
Local artist Russell Johnson has a new video installation (American Pacemaker) on display at the Weston Art Gallery that examines the political and social landscape of manufacturing in the Midwest, including Cincinnati. Jane Durrell talks with the artist about the images and story within his installation, in advance of his talk at the gallery on April 3.
