The Cincinnati Children’s Choir Festival is coming this summer, and registration is now open for young singers, nominated by their school’s music teacher, to be part of a week-long adventure at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. To learn more about this festival and how students can become a part of it, Cincinnati Children’s Choir Director Robyn Lana spends a few minutes with our Anne Arenstein.

A rare classical music double-header will take place at UC’s College Conservatory of Music on Saturday, March 2. Dubbed the “Mahler Marathon,” conductor Mark Gibson will lead the Philharmonia and Concert Orchestras in performances of both Mahler’s 3rd and 4th symphonies. Mahler’s 4th will be performed at 4:00 pm, and the lengthy and rarely performed 3rd will begin at 8:00 pm. Anne Arenstein discusses this challenging undertaking with Mark Gibson.
