Spring training for the Cincinnati Reds is fully underway in Goodyear, Arizona so it’s time to get a sense of the 2013 season from Fox 19 Sports Director Brian Giesenschlag. He just returned from Goodyear, so he’s in The Front Row with Betsy Ross with some thoughts on the coming year, and the two main stories from this year’s spring training: moving Aroldis Chapman to the starting rotation and the addition of Shin Soo Choo as the leadoff hitter.
A new exhibit looks at the career of a Reds player many baseball experts consider the best second baseman in the history of the game. Reds Hall of Fame Executive Director Rick Walls said the Joe Morgan exhibit that started Tuesday is part of a season-long celebration of his baseball career.
"I think it's an inspiring story because Joe was once deemed to small to play," said Walls. "I think he carries a little chip on his shoulder with that and wants to prove people wrong. He did it his entire career."
