RJ Smith is the new Senior Editor for Cincinnati Magazine, and he joins Mark Perzel in the studio to discuss his new role, provide a snapshot of the variety of articles in the May issue, as well as talk about the book he released late last year, The One: The Life and Music of James Brown.
Local author Andrea Cheng joins our Barbara Gray in the studio to talk about her newest book, Etched in Clay. Not only did she write the story of a slave who finds an outlet in creating pottery, but the Cincinnati State professor also did the woodcut illustrations for the book.
Joani Lacy, well-known local musician, has recently completed the third book of her Hollister House Trilogy, three stories of a fantastic journey through the Deep South, featuring romance, mysticism and more. She joins Brian O’Donnell to discuss and read from the final installment, The Witch and the Banyan Tree. She’ll be doing a signing on Saturday, May 11 at the Roebling Point Bookstore in Covington.
