Xavier University’s College of Social Sciences, Health, & Education presents the Remarkable Families Symposium on Friday, March 1 at the Cintas Center. This program is for parents of special needs children, and will provide them with critical information to aid them in the challenges they face both now and in the future with their children. Paul Daugherty, columnist for the Cincinnati Enquirer and parent of a special needs daughter (the subject of his upcoming book) is the guest speaker. Mark Perzel learns more about the event, the agenda for the day, and how parents can register during a conversation with one of the key organizers, Dr. Thomas Knestrict from Xavier.
Local attorney Bill Keating is in The Front Row with Betsy Ross to talk about the December 2 Women’s Crosstown Classic, the annual basketball battle between Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati. Along with details of the game, he talks about the importance of young girls having the chance to see and meet the college players and learn more about the discipline and practice is required to play at the college level.
